Join U.S. and Canadian teams for "Hockey Time's Holiday Extravaganza" tournament and be part of an unprecedented event as the Detroit area celebrates the great game of hockey in spectacular fashion! Upwards of 300,000 hockey fans from all over North America will converge on "Hockeytown USA" for a "Winter Festival" like no other! Two of the area's great athletic venues, Comerica Park and the University of Michigan Wolverines' 110,000 seat football stadium, "THE BIG HOUSE", will be transformed into outdoor hockey palaces to host the largest pro/am outdoor hockey event in history! <BR>

The schedule includes the 48th annual Great Lakes Invitational Tournament featuring an all Michigan lineup of Division 1 rivals; Michigan Wolverines, Michigan State Spartans, Western MI Broncos and the MI Tech Huskies, an Ontario Hockey League doubleheader; Windsor Spitfires vs Saginaw Spirit and the Plymouth Whalers vs London Knights and an American Hockey League matchup showcasing future NHL'ers with the Grand Rapids Griffins and Toronto Marlies facing off. Next comes, a "trip down memory lane" as legend filled lineups of the Red Wings and Maple Leafs alumni teams meet in a "showdown" at Comerica Park followed by the grand finale taking place on January 1 at the "Big House" in Ann Arbor, MI, the NHL's mid season "Winter Classic" pitting original six rivals the Detroit Red Wings against the Toronto Maple Leafs! <BR>

Hockey Time will be offering in addition to our "standard tournament entry fee option" a limited number of "VIP ticket packages" which will guarantee participants tickets to the AHL doubleheader at Comerica Park on Saturday December 29 along with tickets for the "NHL's "Winter Classic" at the University of Michigan's 110,000 seat football stadium, "THE BIG HOUSE", on January 1!
